Remote Diagnostics
Remote diagnostics is intended to help fleet
maintenance teams stay on track with important maintenance events in
real-time. Maintaining maximum vehicle efficiency and safety requires
practicing preventive as well as predictive maintenance.
Remote diagnostics
Remote diagnostics is performed using the Direct Vehicle Bus connection
through the OBD-II/CAN interface. OBD-II is an on-board diagnostic system
for emission control that is capable of identifying the likely area of malfunction
using fault codes stored in the vehicle’s computer memory. Transferring the
data in real-time, it is an accurate source of vehicle speed, RPM and
odometer readings information.
Predictive maintenance
Predictive maintenance utilizes the vehicle Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)
through the OBD-II/CAN interface, allowing maintenance teams to predict
possible future vehicle malfunctions and take action before they occur. The
OBD-II/CAN connector instantly receives, not only diagnostic and emission
control data, but also other vehicle-related information.
